In honor of it being sort of warm outside and the departure of our friends, the Webers, we decided to spend a couple of hours at the zoo today.
The Chahinkapa Zoo is about an hour south of Fargo in the town of Wahpeton. It is a cute little zoo with about 60 different animals. You know, the normals-- mountain lions, tigers, and a bear. They have a couple of kangaroos and some of the ugliest camels I have ever seen. Most of the animals are the kind we eat. Okay, I don't eath them, but some do. Duck, Pheasant, elk, turkey--those kind of things.
Anyway, the kids love it. Here are a couple of pics of the day and some of the animals that we saw. Enjoy!
Ryen and Ali hanging out in front of the bear exhibit.
The otters-Oscar and Sally. They are very cute and do tricks.
Ali, Austin, Brodie, and Ryen hanging out on the wall. They liked throwing the rocks off of the wall, so they spent a bit of time up there.
Ali really wanted to take a picture with this peacock. Luckily, her mom is quick!
Ali being silly.
Ryen and her new friend.
