One of the coolest things we did last year somehow did not end up on the
blog, so I am going to post it now. On October 6 we were lucky enough
to be involved with the Walk Now for Autism Speaks. The best part was
that my sister came to Vegas that same weekend and we all got to do it
together. In honor of my totally awesome nephew, we were team EVAN! I
was so honored to walk in his behalf and to join all of the families
that have these special ones in their life. The walk took place on the
UNLV campus and was about 3 miles. Funniest thing that happened that day was Ali talked one of the volunteers out of a $150.00 t-shirt. (Only teams that raised $150 qualified for a shirt.) We have no idea what she said to him, just that we told us he would have given her whatever she wanted. Such a little stinker. Here are a few of my favorite pics.
My amazing family that was so awesome to get out of bed early and walk with me.
With my mom and sister. Sporting our red UTES clothing. Because that is the way we roll.
The rest of Team EVAN. All of my sister's closest friends.
Randy and I strolling...
Just about finished for the day..
Relaxing in the Student Union after the walk.
